Project Manager - Electrical Engineer
About the Role
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Manager at HelioRec.
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day execution of floating solar power plant projects (both Research & Development and commercial projects). This includes coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery, supervising field operations, and supporting installation, commissioning, and O&M activities.
The role requires strong experience in field operations. The Project Manager will be actively involved in on-site activities, including coordination of subcontractors, logistics, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
When no field operations are ongoing, the Project Manager will support the design office by contributing to electrical and mechanical tasks, project preparation, and technical coordination.
While the role is primarily based in Paris, there is flexibility for some remote work.
The role requires travel (France and international).
CDD contract for the first 6 months, with the possibility to transition to CDI.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience, including significant involvement in field-based hardware projects (renewable energy, marine, construction, or similar sectors)
- Proven experience in project management of complex hardware installations, with direct on-site execution exposure
- Strong technical background, preferably in electrical engineering (mechanical or marine engineering also relevant)
- Solid understanding of site operations, including installation, commissioning, logistics coordination, and subcontractor management
- Knowledge of expediting and inspection processes, including supplier follow-up, quality control, and delivery tracking
- Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of coordinating diverse stakeholders (internal teams, suppliers, clients)
- Hands-on, autonomous, and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and within a team in dynamic environments
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work on project sites
- Experience in the solar, wind, or broader renewable energy sector is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or related field)
- Fluent in English and French
- Valid permit to work in France
