Grid-connected floating photovoltaic (FPV) power plant
In 2024, HelioRec reached a significant milestone with the successful installation of a 250 kWp floating solar power plant in France. Located on a tranquil water body, this innovative project incorporates advanced energy components, including inverters and DC/AC boxes, all directly mounted on the floating platform.
HelioRec adeptly managed the unique challenges associated with a water-based environment to ensure seamless and efficient operation.
The clean electricity generated will now power a local hotel and restaurant, demonstrating a sustainable solution that merges renewable energy with hospitality, paving the way for a greener future.
The grid-connected floating photovoltaic (FPV) power plant is installed on an inland water body in France.
Capacity: 250 kWp
Water level variation 3 m
Application: Inland water body, commercial self-consumption
The project validated the electrical integration on floating structures, platform stability under operational loads, and reliable energy supply to a local hotel and restaurant through on-site renewable generation.
