Indonesia floating solar power plant

Indonesia

Offshore floating photovoltaic (FPV)

In 2025, a 27 kWp floating solar project with a battery bank of 45 kWh in Gili Ketapang, East Java, Indonesia was installed.

The system is designed to supply continuous 24/7 power for an ice-making facility that benefits local fishermen.

Advanced mooring line design is needed for this installation as it is 400 m from the shore, with wind gust of  40 km/h and wave height of 1.8 m.

  • Capacity: 27 kWp

  • Battery storage: 45 kWh

  • Distance from shore: 400 m

  • Maximum wind gust: 40 km/h

  • Maximum wave height: 1.8 m

  • Application: Offshore island installation, continuous industrial load

The project requires an advanced mooring line design adapted to wave action.
